Outlook App on a Surface Pro 8 started asking me to log in this am.

Will not accept proper password (confirmed it is valid by using my ISP's web mail.)

Called their tech line to confirm IMAP settings.

    Still can't log in.

    Get this message:

    {"SessionId":"d634745f-a5d1-4149-b83f-3021dab318d6","Timestamp":1739043111744,"Error":"INTERACTIONREQUIRED"}

Without naming my ISP the settings are:

    incoming:

    mail.xxxxx.net Port 993

    outgoing:

    mail.xxxxx.net Port 587

Seems Outlook keeps changing to these settings:

    incoming:

    imap.xxxxx.net Port 993

    outgoing:

    smtp.xxxxx.net Port 465

    Which aren't working.

    What is going on?

Especially aggravating since we can no longer use mail.

I'm having the same issues, I can't send or receive email in my Outlook for Windows 11.

    It appears to be unfixable.

Having the same problem. Outlook tied to my GMail account had been working great for a number of years until it suddenly stopped receiving emails around 2/2. Test emails sent through Outlook are stored in the Drafts folder without being sent. My other non-Microsoft hardware is receiving and sending emails just fine and logging onto GMail also shows all emails.

    how do I fix problem

    Hello Joan Sarty (LCL),

    Welcome to the Microsoft Community.

I understand that you mentioned being unable to send or receive emails in the new Outlook.

Is this email a Microsoft domain email or a third-party email? You can tell me the domain name after the @ symbol.

First, you can check if it works normally on the corresponding service provider's web platform. For Microsoft domain emails, log in to Outlook.live.com.

If there are any related error messages, please let me know.

    Best Regards,

    Jimmy.W - MSFT| Microsoft Product Support Community
