In my outlook app on iPhone as well as in de desktop version of Outlook there is a pop-up of Copilot 'summary' on EVERY email I open.
It's annoying the **** out of me and I want to get rid of this ai-function that I never asked for.
I have Microsoft 365 family.
In settings on the app as well as desktop version there is nothing to be found to remove this.

I don't have a subscription. I bought Office 2016 and that SCHIFF wormed its way into my Outlook 2016 application. I also now get an unwanted share drop down in Word, Visio (which I also bought), Excel and other Office applications. To say these things are annoying is a vast understatement.
I'm using the Outlook desktop programme and suddenly this morning the Copilot icon has appeared on the top right of the ribbon. I can't switch it off, find it in the settings to remove it and the only thing I can find online are people suffering the same problem and no solution.
This annoying feature has started rolling out on the latest office build and we as an organization have no intention of using Copilot.
Very much feels like Microsoft are doing their usual bullying technique of ramming this down our throats until we either cancel our account or end up using this unwanted feature.
Surely someone at Microsoft has to realize that not everyone want's this AI junk in everything.
It's rolled out everywhere and an annoyance and eyesore. Even places I can turn it off the f^(king icon won't go away. It stays there, annoyingly, and a reminder the Microsoft doesn't give a toss about even the paying customers. It's these moves that'll get me to cancel my subscription and move to Libre Office and Thunderbird mail. Only thing missing the Thunderbird for me is push notifications. Otherwise I like it.
I've already put off replacing my Surface laptop because of everything being infested with copilot and no recourse for its removal.
Not to mention the move to include copilot with my subscription, something I NEVER wanted, and increasing the price by £30. As noted upthread, I also cancelled my subscription and renewed as classic to get the subscription I signed up for and was slated for renewal. I knw there's a lot less oversight in the US, but in the UK and EU these types of shennigans can get a company sued and fined.
I moved to MailSpring Mail and Google Calendar to replace Outlook 2016. I am not a fan of Libre Office as it doesn't offer individual applications. I prefer each program to be stand alone, ie the spreadsheet program, the word processor program, etc. I don't like opening the program to open other programs that I need. It is worrysome in my opinion.
What bothers me is I paid for Microsoft Office 2016 Professional Plus and now I have to put up with Microsoft saying I don't own my copy and they can change it anytime they please. I don't need or want their clutter. Surely, a group of Office users could band together and file a class action suit against the monsters at MS.
