    My outlook email requests that I get the password from the Internet service provider that was given to me. I don't know the password. My Email address that I know is *** Email address is removed for privacy ***. Do I need one that has an @outlook.com address instead?

    I am trying to re-access an old Hotmail account. I tried typing Hotmail login into the Google search engine to obtain the login and the login portion is no longer there. It's all a list of Microsoft community stuff and there is no "login to your Hotmail account available within the browser."

    You would sign in to that Hotmail account at https://outlook.live.com 

    Often the case when people mention an :old" account.

    If you, at any point, went for a year without signing in to the "old hotmail" account, it was closed and can't be recovered.

    Check this by going to https://outlook.live.com/ entering the address then clicking on Next. Do you get a message like This account doesn't exist ?
