How do I permanently turn off Copilot prompts in my Outlook.com webmail messages?

I'm a dinosaur who still uses Hotmail.com via web-based Outlook.com. Now every time I reply to a message, I get a ""Try Draft with Copilot" message/link in it. I never want to use Copilot for anything, but this won't go away. How can I turn permanently off this any other Copliot promot in Outlook?

    (And you've just whacked up my 365 subscription, dammit! i'm paying more for features I hate!)

    You don't need to pay for the subscription increase. If you click on the option to cancel, it'll go to a page where you can select a 365 subscription with "no AI" and then it'll be the same price as before. It's very sneaky and dishonest that Microsoft doesn't offer you this option unless you say you're going to cancel.

    Indeed - I did that and it's reverted to the old price. I only knew that this could be done via the cancel option from looking on other forums. The way this whole "upgrade" has been handled makes Microsoft look decidedly manipulative - they've forced this junk on everyone without being asked, and without any clear ways to turn it off, then increased the price and not made it clear that you can opt out of the junk and stick at the previous price.

    Thanks. When I went to the site to do that, it says that the change won't take place until my renewal date. To get rid of Copilot immediately, do I actually need to fully unsubscribe and start over again? I don't even mind paying the extra for the rest of my current subscription term. I just want the Copilot turned off when I'm writing emails!!!

    I'm just putting up with it until the renewal date! Not found any way to turn it off in any programs apart from Word, which does have a tick box, and the Copilot icon is greyed out once that's unticked.

    I'd be wary of cancelling and starting again - so far as I can see they aren't offering the version without the AI infection to new subscribers at all.

    Thanks again. I just switched to "classic" starting on my renewal date this summer.

    I understand Microsoft wanting to promote its AI product, and even pushing it a little bit. But this is way over the top. Forcing it on people in an incredibly aggressive way (Copilot link popping up on *every new line* in emails!), not providing a way to turn it off, and then raising subscription prices by 30% to pay for the "feature"? Wow. I hope there is more backlash than just a few forum threads.
