How do I permanently turn off Copilot prompts in my Outlook.com webmail messages?

I'm a dinosaur who still uses Hotmail.com via web-based Outlook.com. Now every time I reply to a message, I get a ""Try Draft with Copilot" message/link in it. I never want to use Copilot for anything, but this won't go away. How can I turn permanently off this any other Copliot promot in Outlook?

    Thanks. When I went to the site to do that, it says that the change won't take place until my renewal date. To get rid of Copilot immediately, do I actually need to fully unsubscribe and start over again? I don't even mind paying the extra for the rest of my current subscription term. I just want the Copilot turned off when I'm writing emails!!!

    Unfortunately, I don't think that downgrading or cancelling your subscription will get rid of the annoying Copilot prompt in your email. After all, even non-subscribers can get an Outlook account for free. All we can do is keep complaining about it until Microsoft listens.

    For those of you who are old enough to remember "Clippy" - it may take quite awhile for MS to stop annoying us. (It took them four years to retire that awful idea.)

    MICROSOFT ARE YOU READING WHAT YOUR USERS THINK ABOUT FOISTING THESE UNWANTED FEATURES ON US?????

    SOLUTION - Thanks to the various people who pointed this out, but I have just followed it and it seems that when my subscription next renews the alleged AI features will be turned off.

    • Go to your Microsoft 365 account
    • Access your subscription
    • Select to "Cancel" the subscription

    You are then offered the option to save £30.00 and remove the pointless (in my opinion) features...

    Note: The "Try Draft with CoPilot" is still there in both webmail and using the windows mail app - but fingers crossed it will go when my subscription renews.

    Thanks RichardAU, the uBlock extension worked like a charm!

    I was completely blocked from even replying to an email because the copilot draft widget wouldn't budge. I did discover a couple of workarounds for that before I tried the uBlock extension. If you start to compose an email, open it from the Drafts folder. The copilot widget will not be there. You can also select a person you want to email from your Contacts and click the email icon in the Contacts window. The copilot widget is not active in that basic email either.

    This is very useful. I did the whole "threaten to cancel" MS 365 when it comes up for renewal in July and I got to renew at the lower pilot-less price. Unfortunately, this doesn't solve the problem I posted on, which is getting rid of the stupid copilot message in my Hotmail messages.
