Hello all,
Wondering if anyone at all can help or direct me to get my account sorted.
My account has been suspended due to 'violation of terms of service on Skype.' This is what I received after filling out an account reinstatement form.
This is the email that I received:

Since this I have done numerous forms with the same response and even spoke on the phone with a supervisor from Microsoft that advised I need to wait to hear back from the security team.
I explained to all representatives that I have not used Skype services in well over 10 years and I do not plan in using it ever. However, some of my other accounts have been hacked recently and can only imagine that this one has been affected and is the reason for the account suspension, but they do not seem to be taking this into consideration.
I have also explained that the email/account affected is my Xbox account as well, which has not been able to be used for this month with this issue. I have had this Xbox account for around 15 years and have multiple games that I do not want to lose. As well as literally a week before the account suspension spending £100 on a new game which I cannot even play.
No one seems to be able to help and I hope that someone can shed some light.

Any updates on this issue? I just used the on-line chat and they were useless. I'm really stuck here and it seems that Microsoft is not willing to do anything about it
Nope no reply from Microsoft as of yet. Filled out another appeal form which they have not got back to me in over a month. Let me know if you get anywhere before me
I have the exact same issue.
Someone hacked my account, tried purchasing something from Skype, and I've been blocked for the same reason.
Also now can't access my xbox account which I've had for about 17 years.
Looking at how long you've been waiting is very worrying that there is nothing they can do for an issue that seems to be happening to many people
I am having the same issue, someone hacked my account and spent £50 on Skype (I have never used Skype) plus around £100 on uber eats! I contacted my bank and since then Microsoft have blocked my account saying Appeal results: Violation confirmed (Decision upheld) like it’s my fault I got hacked.
I too have written many appeals and spoke on web chat over the weeks with no response apart from ‘decision upheld’
I have lots of important documents on OneDrive I need access to but cannot get to them. It seems I’m just talking to robots/AI and it’s so frustrating and having a major impact in my work and personal life.
Has anyone managed to resolve their issues?

I'm also having the same issue. Microsoft account suspended permanently due to someone hacking a skype account I haven't used in over 10 years. Getting no where with microsoft support and can't even seem to get through to a real human being. Can anyone explain how you contact a real person at microsoft?
What microsoft are doing here must be illegal. Their lax security is clearly to blame for so many people having old skype accounts hacked and their response has been to block people from access to xbox etc which has hundreds perhaps thousands of pounds worth of content we have paid for.
Microsoft please help us with this issue?
Stop sending us round in circles and reinstate these accounts.
If anyone here gets anywhere with microsoft please let us all know.
If not I think we can all request full information relating to our issues under GDPR. That would hopefully push the issue a little further up the ladder at microsoft and if not we should band together to seek legal advice, maybe start a petition or something.
