How do I TURN OFF the "Summary by Copilot banner that appears on every single email I receive in outlook?

I may, maybe once a year when tagged into a super long email thread try to get a summary... but 99.99% of the time I will never want to use this, as such the banner is annoying and consumes lots of valuable space where I could render my email.

How can I turn this off? or hide it by default?

This was easy to find and do in Word. In Excel, there is no similar Toggle. And I still can't find a way to do it in the web version of Outlook.

Thanks, I did that; here's what I told them:

You keep inserting apps that nobody wants or needs and you make it extremely difficult to turn them off!! and there's no way to disable Copilot in Outlook! Please give users the option to disable it - permanently!! Your users will love you for doing that.

    ;-)

I am also going to revert to the older version of Outlook. It is egregious that MS thinks they can decide for others and force unwanted cyber garbage on their clients. Does Apple also participate in this arm-twisting BS?

I am fine with disabling M365 Copilot altogether, are there instructions on how to do that?
