Hi,
I keep getting an 'unverified sender' message in Outlook (desktop and web app). I've added the address to 'trusted sender' and I've whitelisted the domain but still keep getting it.
The sender is 'trusted' and a reputable domain.
Is there anything else I can do on my side or is it down to the sender?

What is going on? Please explain why Microsoft is blacklisting legitimate emails and giving me no way to control my inbox? I remind you that I am paying for this service.
"Required" is a very, very big word. Please cite the US law or statute that REQUIRES this feature. How about you get down off the false high horse you seem to be on and join reality. This feature is not required it is desired - desired by insiders who believe they are doing what is in the best interest of the masses based on their perception of the cyber threat. If you were half as knowledgeable as you seem to believe, you would know that NOTHING with this feature or anything else you or anyone else in that industry can come up with is going to prevent cyber-attacks. The best you can do is reduce the threat. I have no issue with the feature - the issue is that I, as the purchaser of the product, wish to be able to turn the feature on and off.
It sucks because it is not user configurable.
I wholeheartedly agree with the comments posted on here. I have enough to do in the average day without dealing with whatever "feature" has been introduced by Microsoft with no thought as to how it will impact users. There needs to be a SIMPLE way to verify the sender is a trusted sender, similar to how the user can click on "Not junk" for valid messages in the Junk folder. PLEASE FIX THIS ASAP!
I know a lot of people are decrying this. but MS is behind for the most part for this sender validation.
Gmail/gsuite and yahoo have had it for some time.
you can't even send email to google or yahoo with and chance of delivery without SPF/DMARC
this change was a good thing and I hope to see more like it.
Why is Outlook the most annoying and least reliable email service when it's been around almost forever....I'm paying for inconvenience and mediocrity. Let everyone in the comments sentiment be heard:
