How can I get spam emails from these senders to stop? They are in the junk folder, so rules don't work.

    Dear OverFifty

Thank you for posting to Microsoft Community

I understand that you are always getting spam from <preview@***> and you tried to block these spam mails by creating rules but without success, it is really annoying to get spam mails all the time! We understand your annoyance, let's face this problem together!

About rules, they are actions that Outlook automatically performs on sent or received emails based on conditions you specify, such as moving all emails from a specific person to a folder outside the Inbox. Rules allow you to automatically move, tag, and contextualize email. Your current need is to block spam, so creating rules will not meet your needs.

You can reject spam by blocking the sender. For more information, please refer to the link:

How can I block the sender when the sender address is slightly changed for every message? Sender always starts with "preview@" followed by a constantly changing combination of random letters and numbers.

    Dear OverFifty

Thank you for posting to Microsoft Community

For a large number of spam emails from different senders, it's troublesome to block the sender alone. I understand that these emails are already in your spam mailbox, so you can choose to delete suspicious spam emails permanently.

Steps: Open Junk Mailbox, right-click on any junk mail 》 Junk Mail 》 Junk Mail Options 》permanently delete suspicious junk mails instead of moving them to Junk Mail folder.

I hope this information is helpful and if you have any questions, please let me know and I'll be happy to help.

I wish you all the best

I'm not sure this helps. the blocked senders does not allow wildcards or just to look for preview. The spam is getting thru because they are making up fake domain names.

You need to add functionality to allow for wildcards or just looking for a specific word.

Linda.Wan: This is not a tenable solution. That would result in losing the legitimate emails that are incorrectly sent to junk (it happens often enough to be considered).
