spam from <preview@***> where the *** part changes each time

Yes wildcard search/identification would sure help in blocking emails. I use google earth a lot and they allow wild card searches for features In the satellite images which is a great feature. So if google can do it , why can't Microsoft?

I too have been getting these recently and have been reporting these emails in hopes that we can get a feature to be able to use wildcard characters such as preview@*.* in the junk mail block list setting to block all variations of the junk emails that start with preview@.

But this is Microsoft. Saving us time and effort is not in their DNA anymore. Subscription money doesn't get you much these days. If it weren't for the fact my family needs Office, I would delete my Microsoft account and move on. There was a time 40 years ago where this kind of issue would be resolved in less than a week. How things have changed since then.

I have also reported numerous times such emails to Microsoft. They have done nothing and will not do anything at all to stop them from annoying users like you and I.

This is unacceptable. With all the buzz about AI (and even without AI), Microsoft should be smart enough to detect and preemptively destroy this time of spam email. Furthermore, forensic teams working in conjunction with law enforcement should be able to track down the source of these annoying messages and arrest them.

With so many people responding to having the same identical problems, it would be reasonable to say everyone is just not opening the wrong email and within hours having 300 plus flooding our junk e-mail box. I had one person say it is the user’s responsibility, not Microsoft. I don’t get that! I’m using Thunderbird now and it does have a functional way to send these to the trash. I had no issues before we had to use the crummy online version of outlook.
