Tried to login to outlook. Received Error code: STATUS_STACK_OVERFLOW. Screen said, "Refresh page". I did several times, same error code keep appearing. I shut down my pc and restarted. Logged in again to Outlook. I use "Live.com.au" , Same above message. On another pc, I can log on to my outlook account - PLEASE HELP

WORKAROUND - download firefox browser and install- Everyone who is having this problem is on a windows 7 computer , the same crash happens on internet explorer browser or chrome browser. i have 2 diffrent windows 7 pc's and it is only happening on one of them which is a dell optiplex 780 . i installed firefox and i was able to open emails in outlook on the problem computer . the problem is in MSN outlook coding.

    64-bit-capable CPUs entered the consumer market in 2003-2004, so unless those laptops are that old it's likely that you could technically install a 64-bit OS on them, but you should check the CPU to be sure, and there's also the legal aspect if you care about that. However, 64-bit will use more memory, so unless the total system memory (RAM + VRAM) exceeds 4 GB (the standard 32-bit limit), the system will lose performance if running a 64-bit OS. And there's also the fact that 64-bit Windows can no longer run 16-bit applications natively, so if you have anything that old (MS-DOS, many for Win 3.x and maybe some very early Win 95 programs), they won't run anymore unless you run them through other programs (like DOSBox and its forks), but you should already know this from your 64-bit laptop.

    32 or 64 is the processer speed, I don't think you can install 64 on a 32, you might be able to put 32 on a 64 though with a bios change but I am not expert on them biscuits. Also might be able to put a chome operating system on them but it might be a lot of work

    Hope you won't take this the wrong way, but if I'm to assume that you meant replacing your 32-bit Windows with the 64-bit version, the way you worded that question makes me say that you shouldn't try, since we're talking about reinstalling the OS from scratch, and if that OS is Win 7 then getting a fresh install fully up to date (as far as updates existed) and properly operational with all drivers and everything now would be a daunting prospect even for advanced users.
