Hi , with respect to all concerned on this window(7)/outlook/live/hot mail/no support

I think it would be a fair assessment that everyone feels like they have been

sucker punched and rightly so.....

because i have taken time to read endlessly thru the posts on this subject and i'v concluded that there is >>>NO SUPPORT/THEN THE REPORT THAT MICROSOFT IS (WORKING )ON A SOLUTION/ THEN I SEE A LIVE LINK TO CLICK ON THAT GIVES US A LINK TO GO TO OUTLOOK THE (UNSUPPORTED VERSION) TO VIEW OUR MAIL( THE LINK DOESN'T WORK)

ALL THAT KEEPS GETTING PUT OUT AT BEST IS A FALSE SENSE OF SECURITY THAT EVERYTHING WILL BE OK GIVEN THE PATIENTS AND TIME, IT'S SEEMS ALMOST INSULTING THAT I RECEIVED A LIGHT RESPONSE OF REPRIMAND FOR MY EFFORTS TO SEEK OUT FACT, TRUTH VERIFICATION AS TO THE TRUE DISPOSITION OF OUTLOOK, I WAS TOLD TO ASK A QUESTION OF THE MICROSOFT COMMUNITY SO I ASK IN REGARDS TO THE AFOREMENTIONED. DO YOU KNOW WHAT THE BOTTOM LINE IS AS TO THE FUTURE USE OF OUTLOOK BY THOSE OF USE OUT HERE IN THE GENERAL POPULATION THAT CHOOSE "OUTLOOK" FOR OUR HOME DESTINATION OF EMAIL???????? I LOOK FOREWORD TO YOUR RESPONSE

Michael, I agree with you. The unfortunate part is that both Microsoft and Google advised that they no longer support Win 7. To reasonably thinking people, this should mean that they will no longer provide updates etc, but it doesn't mean that they have the right do do something that will stop the unsupported software from working. I am not saying that anyone (Microsoft or Google) has deliberately done something to prevent the unsupported software from working.

I agree that neither Microsoft or Google will do anything to fix the Win 7 problem. They have clearly stated that they no longer support Win 7.

Hopefully, the problem won't extend to other unsupported Microsoft software in the future.

Unfortunately there's not a snowball's chance in hell that Microsoft will do anything to help. They hate the fact that people can still actually use W7, and if they could they would disable it completely.

I installed Firefox, and it did enable me to run Outlook 365, though very slowly. The worst thing was that if I then tried to use it to open other web pages they generally crashed. I therefore had to keep Chrome running for general browsing, just using Firefox for Outlook, but using the two browsers slowed down my already geriatric PC to such an extent that it became almost useless.

I've therefore drunk the Kool-Aid and switched to W10. Outlook 365 now works, but I really don't like W10 compare to W7 - no "Recent Folders" for example, which I found so useful.
