receiving many spam emails from sender renew@

Every day I receive 20-30 emails where the sender from address starts with renew@ (see image below) Outlook is placing these messages in the Junk email folder. But, every day I have to scan the Junk mail folder looking for appropriate messages that should have shown up in my Inbox.

I would like to create a Rule that automatically deletes any message in the Junk email folder who's sender name begins with "renew@"

I have actually created a rule but I cannot figure out how to run it against the Junk email folder.

I agree, making rules and reporting spam does nothing. I'm done with that and now I send all phishing emails renamed to txt back to the registrars, spam.org and dozens of other anti phishing sites. it's worked to stop all spam except from those from microsoft. They either don't care or they make too much money from the spammers.

Sure, that would work, although they are not in my inbox. They are in my junk email folder. This is just as annoying and creating rules for this folder isn't possible. Thanks for your reply! Incidentally, there are quite a few users having the same problem from renew@ and preview@. I would think Microsoft would notice this and make a correction. Making a feedback request is ineffective.

When you "Run Rules Now" it will allow you to select the folder you want it to run against, i.e the Junk folder.

As I said on my post you need to specify to run the rule on the junk folder at the last step when you create or edit the rule. Check the screen shot I posted . If you do not set this option, rules will not run on junk folder.

    Hi,

I am using Outlook Web Mail.

There are three menu choices at the top Home, View, Help.

Select Help and you see three options below.

Select Feedback. On the far right side of the screen you get Feedback options.

You get three options: give a compliment, report a problem, make a suggestion

    Choose report a problem

Type a description of the problem below in the text box then scroll down and click Submit

Seems? It's a fact there are many spam victims and it's been going on and off for years. It's a whack a mole game between spammers and email providers.
