Am I hacked? (received an email from my own emailaddress)

Hi,

I received an email presumably send from my own emailaccount, subject 'You've been hacked' starting with

'I want to inform you about a very bad situation for you. However, you can benefit from it, if you will act wisеly. Have you heard of Pegasus? This is a spyware program that installs on computers and smartphones and allows hackers to monitor the activity of device owners. It provides access to your webcam, messengers, emails, call records, etc. It works well on Android, iOS, macOS and Windows. I guess, you already figured out where I’m getting at.'

Etc.

So the content of the email doesn't worry me, but what I can't understand is why the e-mail is send from my account. Or why it looks like it is send from my account. It doesn't show any other address.

When I check Source of the message, the following pops up, but this to me is jibberisch... Can anyone explain to me why it looks like I send this to myself and if I indeed been hacked or not?

    Thankyou for your reply which I unfortunately only now have seen, 2 months later. A lot of suggestions I have already done. However your very last suggestion about clearing the discs & partitions of my laptop/computer is for me unfortunately a major undertaking as I am not a computer expert and don’t want to lose important documents, photos, information etc etc. This all makes me feel very sad & vulnerable unfortunately. Until today, everything is working fine

    This + frequent OTP emails. I was alert enough to go check immediately and from sign in activities it shows that they indeed were able to sign in and changed my account profile, even I have had 2fa setup long time ago.

    If you suspect that they have access to your mailbox somehow you should:

    1. change password, setup 2fa if you haven't already.
    2. from microsoft account - security - additional security options, click on "Reset Windows Hello on all of my Windows devices" and "Sign out everywhere".
    3. from microsoft account - privacy - app access, remove anything you did not authorise.
    4. from website Outlook page - settings (gear icon) - General - Mobile devices, remove all of them (or keep the ones that you are 100% sure about)

    This is currently happening to me. I believe they were able to get my email because I tried to reply with it and got the same message. I literary reply to my own message.

    There are also numerous attempt to log in to my account.

    I already change my password a couple of times but they still trying to get in.

    Me too , i have same problem...

    That's is a new way they found it , it's a fake email address but how they can make exactly the same email address...

    Personally i don't care but what will happen if in future they send email from our email address to important palaces ? For example with our email address they can send email and make some serious problems for us ... then who believes us if we say that email not from my email account ?

    I think it will be a very big problem if they didn't fix it soon , it will be the end of posting by Email.
