How do I download the "Classic" version of Outlook to my computer?

How do I download the "Classic" version of Outlook to my computer? My web hosting service who also supports my email address does not support Microsoft's New cloud-based Outlook app and therefore I need to use the Classic version. I have already downloaded my Microsoft 365 applications to a new computer and cannot figure out how to revert back to Classic Outlook. Thank you for your help.

Is Outlook installed? Outlook.exe is here - you can use Windows key + R to open the Run command and paste the path, including the parenthesis in the run box then press Enter.

"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\root\Office16\OUTLOOK.EXE"

if you use 32-bit Office, it is here -

"C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office\root\Office16\OUTLOOK.EXE"

    Are you sure Outlook isn't installed? It should only be missing from new computers.

    Note that Outlook IS NOT included in Home & Student suite - that only has Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OneNote. If you don't have an office version that includes outlook, installing it will not help as it won't be licensed.

    Use Windows key + R to open the Run command and paste the path, including the parenthesis in the run box then press Enter. (Or paste the path, not Outlook.exe in the address bar of file explorer to open the folder and look for it.)

    if you use 32-bit Office, it is here -

    If Outlook is at either of those paths but new Outlook opens when you click the link, you need to disable use new Outlook switch. This is above the ribbon area on the right or in View tab > View settings > General > About Outlook. I also have a reg key you can edit to switch back to outlook.

    I do not have Office 365 and don't want it. How can I get my outlook classic back?

    Thanks this was so helpful -- is there any way get the other apps to install -- they seemed to have left and I seems I have read that they are going to stop using them at the end of 2024. The Outlook issue was driving me crazy because 365 will not install it. Thanks again.
