How do I download the "Classic" version of Outlook to my computer? My web hosting service who also supports my email address does not support Microsoft's New cloud-based Outlook app and therefore I need to use the Classic version. I have already downloaded my Microsoft 365 applications to a new computer and cannot figure out how to revert back to Classic Outlook. Thank you for your help.

Is Outlook installed? Outlook.exe is here - you can use Windows key + R to open the Run command and paste the path, including the parenthesis in the run box then press Enter.

"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\root\Office16\OUTLOOK.EXE"

if you use 32-bit Office, it is here -

"C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office\root\Office16\OUTLOOK.EXE"

If Outlook is installed and new Outlook opens when you click the link, see Use Classic Outlook, not New Outlook (slipstick.com)

If it is not installed, you can download Outlook here: https://support.microsoft.com/office/you-can-t-open-classic-outlook-on-a-new-windows-pc-5c94902b-31a5-4274-abb0-b07f4661edf5

Are we looking at the same page?

From You can't open classic Outlook on a new Windows PC - Microsoft Support

Choose the language you need then click the download near the bottom of the page.

I clicked on your link and the Microsoft page said it is no longer available. However, at this point, I am getting rid of Outlook. I have already wasted too much time on it.

The question is whether Microsoft will trash other Office products as well.

This is an error that some users get when they click the outlook icon on a new computer - it does not mean the software is not available. Select the language and download.

We couldn't verify and install this because it is not available in the Microsoft Store. To install, download it from the publisher's website.

Outlook is in the store or can be downloaded as an exe.

I updated my desktop with a new HP with windows 11 recently. I bought Office Home and Student 2021 with Outlook without the 365 subscription for my old HP and from my microsoft account, successfully installed it on the new hp but ended up with the new outlook.

Can I download the old classic outlook without a 365 subscription?
