How do I download the "Classic" version of Outlook to my computer?

How do I download the "Classic" version of Outlook to my computer? My web hosting service who also supports my email address does not support Microsoft's New cloud-based Outlook app and therefore I need to use the Classic version. I have already downloaded my Microsoft 365 applications to a new computer and cannot figure out how to revert back to Classic Outlook. Thank you for your help.

Is Outlook installed? Outlook.exe is here - you can use Windows key + R to open the Run command and paste the path, including the parenthesis in the run box then press Enter.

"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\root\Office16\OUTLOOK.EXE"

if you use 32-bit Office, it is here -

"C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office\root\Office16\OUTLOOK.EXE"

If Outlook is installed and new Outlook opens when you click the link, see Use Classic Outlook, not New Outlook (slipstick.com)

    Thanks, Susan, but the issue was not adding my pop3 account which I was able to do, but it was using my 22gb pst folder for that account repository. I only have access to the recent emails through my new set-up.

    Paul,

    When you go and add account go to advanced. This will allow you to choose POP for the new account and it then should let you add you Comcast account. I had to do this to add Earthlink. I agree I do not like this new Outlook.

    With POP or IMAP, classic Outlook is better.

    If you type Outlook on the start menu, do you have both classic and new?

    If not, do you have outlook.exe at either of these paths? (on a new system, it should be at the first link)

    "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\root\Office16\OUTLOOK.EXE"

    if you use 32-bit Office, it is here -

    "C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office\root\Office16\OUTLOOK.EXE"

    There is a reg key you can set to disable new outlook.

    Use Classic Outlook, not New Outlook (slipstick.com)

    Hi Diane. My last computer "died" a week ago and I replaced it this past weekend with a Microsoft Surface Laptop 7 running ARM64. I am a current 365 subscriber (family plan). I went to my Account page and clicked on the install Office. As was indicated in this thread, I only got the New Outlook and if I try to toggle off New Outlook, it just uninstalls. I used your Slipstick.com link above to download classic, but the link downloaded the same version of new Outlook ("You have Microsoft Outlook Version 1.2024.1009.100 (Production). Client Version is 20241011003.12.")

    I hate the new version which has substantially less features and in addition to my outlook address, I have comcast email addresses with 20 years of emails in a POP3 file. This is important to me as I am into genealogy and there is a treasure trove of contacts and information that I keep.

    Since the slipstick.com link is not letting you download Classic, do you have another option?
