Outlook desktop calendar defaults to open at 12am instead of the work day

I use the desktop version and it opens with midnight at the top instead of 8am like is used to

  1. the Web version opens to the current time but the desktop version opens to 12am (see screen shot)

I would like it to open either to the beginning of my day (at 8am like is used to) or the current time is fine as well (like the web version does)

I can scroll down every time but its annoying. My work hours are set to 8am-4pm. I am not using New Outlook because you cannot move the folders around. This issue is only a few months old.

    As noted in the title of this thread: The calendar defaults to open at 12am instead of the workday.

    There is no problem setting the workday or location, but everyone keeps answering with how to set the workday/location. Does anyone know HOW TO GET THE CALEDNAR TO OPEN ON THE WORKDAY VS MIDNIGHT?

    Ensuring that the Location drop down for each day in Work Hours was set to Remote is what fixed it for us. Click Work Hours under Options->Calendar and once you set the location on each day, close then reopen Outlook and it should work.

    There is no such selection for location when using Options > Calendar > Work Hours. It only has options for selecting the days in the work week and the work hours start and end times (which are ignored when visiting the calendar page). times. This does not fix the issue, something changed in Outlook because this never happened in the past. Using Microsoft® Outlook® for Microsoft 365 MSO (Version 2408 Build 16.0.17928.20336) 64-bit. Please post a resolution that is really available in Outlook!

    Update: I guess I just had to wait more than "a few minutes". The day after, after having followed Aaron's advice, the days started at 08:00 as I needed them to do.

    Thank you, Mackenzie, for putting into words exactly what I've been feeling. I'm not that tech savvy and trying to find a solution was futile with my limited knowledge. I appreciate that you have validated my frustration.

    Hopefully, a grassroots effort can be inspired to get somebody to address this!

We are currently reproduce the issue from our end and find some possible resolution as quickly as possible. I will use my outlook version Version 2407 (Build 17830.20084) to check if my Outlook desktop calendar defaults open at 12am instead of the work day.
