what is the right settings for outlook for spectrum email

I chatted with Spectrum because I wasn't able to log into our account on the PC or my tablet. I was required to update the app on the tablet. I was able to log on after updating the app. That didn't help with logging on with the PC.

Note: Our User Name is our email address. As is the Recovery email.

When I chatted with a representative, about not being able to log into our acct, receiving an error when trying to reset the password, the representative wanted to confirm the email address for the reset. In the end, I had the representative change the reset email to a different email account (@gmail - one that only is used for random things like this....).

After about 4 minutes of trying to log in again, etc., the email worked as did the log in on the PC. Per my comments back to the representative on Spectrum Chat:

• "All of our email just came in. 2 days worth! I had the recovery email changed to something different from our user name. Our username is our primary email address. The system updated over the last few minutes, and then I could sign in, and my email dropped into Outlook."
• Spectrum's comments: "As Outlook is a third party app. Our ability to troubleshoot third party apps is very limited. We can provide you the correct server settings and refer you to the correct manufacturer. Here is their support number 800-642-7676 and site: support.microsoft.com/en-us"

This worked on my iPad but not on my iphone

Outlook (New) does not work for me and now my wife's email as halted. I have switched to Thunderbird, which is tricky because it wants to download all emails and keep them local. I changed the settings to leave them on the server. It works well enough and does not post ads.

New Outlook started working today for my Roadrunner email. Earlier this week it seemed to get mail periodically and today it seems to be all up and running.

Not sure if there was an update to Outlook or Spectrum.

Anyone else have success?

Since I was 'forced' to switch back to Classic Outlook after new Outlook stopped working, I've decided to keep Classic Outlook until MS no longer supports it. After using new Outlook for many months, I much prefer the look, feel, and features of Classic Outlook. However, I am glad to hear new Outlook appears to be working again with Roadrunner.
