what is the right settings for outlook for spectrum email

It seems as though everyone that has a Spectrum @cfl.rr.com email account has the same issue. I cannot use Outlook on my new laptop. It worked for a while then stopped. I receive the same error messages as you.

IMAP is 993 incoming 587 outgoing. POP is 995 incoming 587 outgoing. It worked for two days a stopped so it's a Microsoft problem that doesn't seem it going to be fixed anytime soon. Switched to a third-party mail system so I would not have to go online just to check mail.

What Incoming and Outgoing port numbers did you use?

Outlook classic is working on my old computer which has Windows 10 and shows POP and 110 and 25. However, my new computer has Windows 11 and POP or IMAP with trying different port numbers, including the 110 and 25. Outlook classic still doesn't connect to Spectrum server. When it tries, it keeps asking for the password over and over, Or it says the server has timed out.

I appreciate everyone's input, but I still can't use my new computer without having email accessible.

I wonder why Microsoft doesn't respond to all these users and acknowledge that there is a problem and fix it.

you shouldn't need any subscription to point the microsoft store outlook (classic) or outlook (new) application installs to work against non-m365 email accounts, e.g. spectrum imap/smtp mail service. I didn't need to download anything i just went to the help menu in outlook (new) and there was a "go to outlook (classic)" button that automatically took care of installing that store app experience after which start menu search on outlook showed both "outlook (new)" and "outlook (classic)" options.
