I received an email stating Update your sign-in technology before September 16th, 2024 to maintain email access. Is this legit or a scam?

    You may have multiple devices accessing the mailbox and one or more is using POP or IMAP to connect. That's why you got the notification. I don't think Microsoft send the notification to ALL users. I don't get the notification at all..

    No. I used Microsoft Exchange on my desktop. Now on my tablet or phone I will have to look again.

    I’ve got this email and here we are and thank you

    I believe it’s IMAP as we can access emails on our laptop iPad and iPhones

If your Outlook is configured to connect to Outlook.com using POP or IMAP, Modern Authentication is not supported. This means that when Basic Authentication is fully deprecated, it will no longer connect." Are you connecting via POP or IMAP?
