If you normally clicked this icon:
That is Apple Mail. The instructions for Apple Mail are:
If you use Apple Mail:
Apple Mail supports Modern Authentication by default when you setup the account as Outlook.com. If you use Apple Mail and you are seeing password prompts or connection errors, this is most likely happening because your account got configured as basic authentication. Hal I’m not sure if this is what your asking for but I just downloaded the Outlook app from the App Store and went through the settings requirements in the new Outlook app
Then deleted the previous MAIL app
It made sense eventually as the Apple MAIL app was on our devices as a default mailing app
It worked well all that time for us but in fairness Microsoft picked up that the Outlook/Hotmail users weren’t going through their own platform
I hope I’m right but it’s working for me currently and maybe this will help others
It’s pretty confronting when the average email user isn’t tech savvy
I’m definitely not!
Anyway all the best
Kindest regards
Chris
Is there an email program, or do you use Safari or another web browser to get your msn.com email? If you use an email program, could you please post a screen shot of the Icon you click to start it? Thanks.
Whatever is on an iPhone? How do I figure it out? I also downloaded the outlook app from the Apple Store. Will I still be able to get my emails?
