HELLO EVERYONE! My email notification sound is BACK. I did not do anything. It just happened today when I logged in. I am using web outlook and chrome browser. I honestly did not make any changes with my settings. So, I guess, Microsoft has already fixed this. Please check yours
Hello!
I started experiencing this just today. I have been using outlook web for almost two years now and it just happened today. I have turned on all notif as well as in my Google chrome browser, and my pc. All notif has been turned on.
I have also refreshed the settings by turning it off and on, restarted my pc twice today, nothing works.
I have signed in to another outlook account which I also owned for work, and it is doing just fine. Notif sound is working. But in my main email, the email I am using in posting this, is not working at all. Please help. I need the notif sound so I could action all email requests at work on time.

I'm having the same issue here! I primarily use Outlook through a web browser (Chrome and Edge). Since the afternoon of Friday August 16, I have not been receiving sound notifications when receiving emails. I've tried the Outlook application and the sound notification works fine there, but I prefer using Outlook through a web browser.
My temporary quick fix is to open both Outlook through a browser and the Outlook application at the same time. The Outlook application will give me a sound notification which will alert me to check my Outlook on my web browser.
Hoping Microsoft can fix this issue very very soon as many of us rely on sound notifications for our important work!
Hello, i too am having the same issue as everyone else on this thread.
just stopped working a few hours ago.
Checked all the settings, still not working.
Has anyone found a fix yet ?
This is exactly the super annoying workaround that I'm dealing with now. It works well enough, but is absolutely not at all a long-term fix. Hoping someone gets back to us soon!
I use Outlook thru Office365 and it stopped working for me on August 16th.
