Outlook Web no notification sound when receiving emails

I AM NOT GETTING THE SOUND NOTIFICATIONS AGAIN :( This is after my pc was updated (microsoft windows). It also is affecting my fingerprint sensor. It does not work anymore. I have to login by typing my PIN :(

HELLO EVERYONE! My email notification sound is BACK. I did not do anything. It just happened today when I logged in. I am using web outlook and chrome browser. I honestly did not make any changes with my settings. So, I guess, Microsoft has already fixed this. Please check yours

I started experiencing this just today. I have been using outlook web for almost two years now and it just happened today. I have turned on all notif as well as in my Google chrome browser, and my pc. All notif has been turned on.

I have also refreshed the settings by turning it off and on, restarted my pc twice today, nothing works.

I have signed in to another outlook account which I also owned for work, and it is doing just fine. Notif sound is working. But in my main email, the email I am using in posting this, is not working at all. Please help. I need the notif sound so I could action all email requests at work on time.

    Now comes the odd punchline. I can make sounds with calendar reminders pop. It's just new email that it doesn't like. Go figure!

    Adding onto the pile here...been having this same issue since last week. I'm on Firefox (latest version) on MacOS 13.6.7.

    In my case, I am getting sound notifications when people react to an email (thumbs up, etc). But, I get no sound notification on receipt of New E-mail...and that is really cramping my work style.

    And, @Carmid.L - MSFT, your solution does absolutely nothing to fix the issue. Sound is enabled all over the place. I haven't even LOOKED at those settings in years. The issue has to be on Microsoft's end.

    Same problem, no fix. All settings ar how they should and still no sound. Somebody please advise!

    Exact same issue. Issue was absent until today Aug 19 2024 and nothing in my settings have changed
