I AM NOT GETTING THE SOUND NOTIFICATIONS AGAIN :( This is after my pc was updated (microsoft windows). It also is affecting my fingerprint sensor. It does not work anymore. I have to login by typing my PIN :(

HELLO EVERYONE! My email notification sound is BACK. I did not do anything. It just happened today when I logged in. I am using web outlook and chrome browser. I honestly did not make any changes with my settings. So, I guess, Microsoft has already fixed this. Please check yours

I started experiencing this just today. I have been using outlook web for almost two years now and it just happened today. I have turned on all notif as well as in my Google chrome browser, and my pc. All notif has been turned on.
I have also refreshed the settings by turning it off and on, restarted my pc twice today, nothing works.
I have signed in to another outlook account which I also owned for work, and it is doing just fine. Notif sound is working. But in my main email, the email I am using in posting this, is not working at all. Please help. I need the notif sound so I could action all email requests at work on time.

I have done all of these.
I have turned it all on including my computers sound. You see, I have mentioned that my other outlook account doesn't have any issues. Just this email.
Same issue here - started about a week ago with NO sound notifications. I wasted over three hours today with FIVE different agents via Microsoft Support Chat with no results other than increased aggravation on my part. Have reset Edge, updated sound card drivers and quintuple verified that ALL my sound and notification settings are correct. This is an incredible nuisance. For years I have relied on that notification sound. I can't keep checking my email every two minutes to see if I'm missing something important. i DO get a visual notification IF I happen to be sitting in front of the screen, but that does NOT suffice.

I have been trying to fix this issue for over an hour and nothing is working. It's really annoying. I rely on the notification sound for work emails.
These 'solutions' help nobody. We need an actual fix to this issue. It is VERY important for many of us who work remote.
I'm having the same issue. It happened to me randomly on Friday and hasn't worked since. I've tried EVERYTHING, but no solution. Reading this forum leads me to believe that it is a issue/bug in Outlook. I hope this gets fixed soon. My work revolves around email and its detrimental that sound notifications aren't working. Please fix this Mircosoft!!
