I AM NOT GETTING THE SOUND NOTIFICATIONS AGAIN :( This is after my pc was updated (microsoft windows). It also is affecting my fingerprint sensor. It does not work anymore. I have to login by typing my PIN :(

HELLO EVERYONE! My email notification sound is BACK. I did not do anything. It just happened today when I logged in. I am using web outlook and chrome browser. I honestly did not make any changes with my settings. So, I guess, Microsoft has already fixed this. Please check yours

I started experiencing this just today. I have been using outlook web for almost two years now and it just happened today. I have turned on all notif as well as in my Google chrome browser, and my pc. All notif has been turned on.
I have also refreshed the settings by turning it off and on, restarted my pc twice today, nothing works.
I have signed in to another outlook account which I also owned for work, and it is doing just fine. Notif sound is working. But in my main email, the email I am using in posting this, is not working at all. Please help. I need the notif sound so I could action all email requests at work on time.

I Keep missing urgent emails if I don't constantly have my eye on (outlook 365).
Kind of difficult when working on multiple layouts with my screen full to the brim.
Mine stopped working on 20/08/2024
Tested on both Chrome, Firefox and Edge, Laptop and PC tower, all with the same result
Funny enough just heard a reaction emoji in outlook making a sound but nothing else does

2024-08-21T20:24:25+00:00 Experiencing the same issue as the original user Aug 15th, 2024 and still having this issue as of Aug 21st, 2024. have tried every method to fix it under the sun with no change. Cleared the cache and cookies, updated chrome, checked all notifications on all platforms were turned on (Outlook, Chrome and on my Mac) I do not have "do not disturb" on, I have refreshed and restarted everything.
Using this for work for 3 years with absolutely no problem and now theres nothing to do to fix it?
Working within short turn arounds and not knowing you have emails is extremely frustrating. Please advise for all of us!

2024-08-21T20:28:33+00:00 Microsoft support has confirmed this is a bug and it’s working to correct the issue. This issue is in outlook by access and it happens on all browsers.
