Using New Outlook on Windows for professional communication and productivity
This is extremely dangerous, and ms support told me it is this way "by design". Insecure by design. let that sink in.
This browser is no longer supported.
Upgrade to Microsoft Edge to take advantage of the latest features, security updates, and technical support.
A very dangerous behavior in the new outlook is that hoving the mouse pointer over a hyperlink in an email no longer displays the actual URL of the link.
Seeing the true URL is the #1 way people can avoid getting email scammed. Removing this tool is inviting people to get defrauded. This should not be a default behavior and I cannot see how to resolve this.

Any updates on this? It appears to be inconsistent. I had one user earlier today that it showed the hover over link info in the lower left-hand corner of the Outlook window, and on other users (running the same version of Outlook and WebView2) that there is still no hover over link information. There must be additional considerations that we don't know about yet.
Microsoft is totally AWOL. I guess they are working on the Delta Airlines mishap.
HI Diane, is there any update on this? Is this a bug or product as designed? Thanks
This appears to have been resolved for me for about a week now
