Outlook calendar will not allow a date or time change to a scheduled event via the date/time pull downs

In my outlook calendar I can no longer change the date or time of any event using the pull down arrows to change the start date or time. When I input a new day or time, it reverts back to the original. I am able to change the date/time of event by dragging the event, but this is cumbersome. It is a new computer and Office 365. This is a new issue and started approximately 2 weeks ago.

Although it is ridicules that it is necessary, I found another work around.

Double click the day on your calendar to add an appointment as usual. Add the Subject and Location as appropriate. Then click Scheduling Assistant. The start time and end time dropdowns work there. Change them as needed then click back to Appointment. You can change the reminder at this point.

Open Calendar, double click the day you want to add an event. With the event screen open, click Scheduling Assistant, click back to Event and everything should work. It's stupid that this is necessary but it works.

    That's a great workaround!

As a slight variant, I found that it's not even necessary to edit the start and end time in the Scheduling Assistant tab. For me the following also works:
Open the appointment for editing, so we are in the "Appointment" tab. Now flip to the Scheduling Assistant tab and without doing anything there immediately go back to the Appointment tab. Now I can edit Reminder, Start time and End time in the Appointment tab without any issues and save them.

Still annoying that two extra clicks are necessary though!

I am having this same issue. My computer is not new, nor is my Outlook install. I tried switching to Classic Outlook, but I am already using the Classic edition. Any other helpful hints on how to fix this? Like the other use, I can drag the appointment to the desired time/date, but that is really inconvenient when on the phone with a customer. Windows 11, Microsoft 365 subscription, Outlook Version 2410 (Build 18129.20116).

    Thank you for any help.
