GET RID OF NEW OUTLOOK NOW - Revert To Classic PLEASE

Not sure how this happened but the new outlook is easily the worst piece of software I have ever seen. That takes into account MS-Dos and Win 95 disasters.

No clue why on earth they would force this garbage on us, when most of us used to say how great outlook was......

I MUST get back to classic now and how can I do it as it dropped all my other email accounts and created armageddon

NEED answers now

Thank you for posting this comment - I wish MS would employ a few people older than 20 who understand the need for consistency and simple design, and who aren't obsessed with making their mark at the exense of usability.

I too worked with MS Dos and it was without a doubt better than this **** as you call it.

2007 was brilliant, 2008 a disaster, and in around 2010, I used to say, well MS have really arrived and this product is fantastic.

Now I find that the MS responder to your question didn't bother to check that their instructions made sense.

Reading through this thread was very interesting. One thing that I don't see mentioned is that the New Outlook does not work with Excel VBA macros that send mail. I have MANY of these that I use for my Toastmasters support that now don't work because my new Win 11 laptop has Microsoft 365 with the New Outlook.

I'll try some of the more promising hints above for sending the New Outlook back to perdition, where it came from.

I have always loved Outlook as the absolute best app for handling email, calendars, and contacts. The whole experience trying to use the New Outlook was nothing short of a disaster. I can't help but wonder, what were they thinking????? Or, perhaps they just weren't.

I'll update this post after attempting to kill the New Outlook beast and return my email to sanity.

If you are using a stand alone Office product with Outlook, you have to be very wary when updates are offered and check the options. Some updates will attempt to switch you to MS Office 365 which includes the new Outlook.

I SOMEHOW WAS FORCED into New (crappy) Outlook. Microsoft, this was a huge mistake. I HATE IT.

...unless you just bought a new computer.
