This browser is no longer supported.
Upgrade to Microsoft Edge to take advantage of the latest features, security updates, and technical support.
I click on the blue New Contact button & nothing happens. There is no error message. I have cleared the Outlook cache. I also did Quick Repair & Online Repair but I still cannot add new contacts.

New Outlook: I cannot add a new contact to People
That is actually a great idea. I have the exact same issue, when I click on New Contact, nothing happens. However, I can import email addresses from Excel, so I guess I have a workaround. Absolutely agree that if so many people have a problem, then just fix the problem! Why do so many users have to go look up versions and email independently if it is a known issue?

Hello Colleen Meiring,
Thank you for your feedback, and we're really apologizing for the incorrect issue address, you are correct, it should be "I cannot add a new contact to People". However, did you try Microsoft Support and Recovery Assistant?
Anyway, can you try your account on a different device with different network, to make sure that the problem not related to your account, and if it's work on the other device, you have to clear your browser cache, and create a new profile for outlook by going to Control Panel > Mail > Show Profiles.
Click Add to create a new profile and configure your email account.
I hope this solution make your day, Let me know if this resolves your issue or if you need any further assistance!

Based on your post regarding "Search option in inbox not working", to understand the situation and be able to offer you relevant suggestions, we would need a little more information from you. Kindly help us by providing the following information.
Could you please provide us with the product and version details of your Outlook? and What version of Outlook do I have?
May I know your affected account type and subscription, Is it a Microsoft365 business or Microsoft Personal account (outlook.com/Hotmail.com/live.com) or any third-party account?
May I confirm that you get the same situation in both Outlook for Desktop and Outlook on the Web (https://outlook.office.com)?
In the meantime, try to Switch Back to Classic Outlook from the top left slider and try adding contact.
Ensure that your Outlook is up to date, Go to File > Office Account > Update Options > Update Now.
Add-ins can sometimes cause issues. Disable them to see if it resolves the problem, Go to File > Options > Add-ins.
