How do I fix Outlook is suddenly not sending or receiving emails?

I couldn't get my New Outlook account to work with my spectrum mail account. I tried deleting my email address in order to re-add it, but then I couldn't even add it so I couldn't even get back into New Outlook. I read that we need to try to get back to Old Outlook, so I found the download for Old Outlook on Microsoft support here: You can't open classic Outlook on a new Windows PC - Microsoft Support . I downloaded it and was shocked to see that everything worked perfectly, my emails and files are all there. Even though I had deleted my email account from New Outlook and couldn't get back in, I didn't have to re-add my account...it was all just there!

I found the same thing. Suddenly it all worked again although I missed a day’s emails. I had also downloaded the Outlook app again and I discovered that I could use copilot to draft emails on that. Perhaps it was all due to Outllook had an upgrade just before

yes, same situation Spectrum wants you to use the webmail. not outlook., my setting in outlook is with the IMAP and reverts to mail.TWC.com this sucks my computer also say I don't have outlook, and wants me to install 365., that I am using a free email account. great response.

When you change hosting the server name is going to be under a new name. I have to remove the email from the Outlook on Mac than add an email again it has to be directly with IMAP (omit ICloud). Please note IMAP is for those who can access the same email on many devices. Note the last part from below I have to change the password to new one first than insert, all old emails was recovered itself.
Tools>Minus>Sign Out On This Device>Plus>Add an Account>insert your email address>Continue>Sync directly with IMAP>Password
