My Outlook account is not downloading or sending messages. I am able to login and I have used the sync button. Anyone else had this happen and know how to resolve it? I've used the Microsoft help and it was not helpful at all!

    Dear Mouvaune,

Good day, welcome to Microsoft Community.

I understand that you seem to have encountered a problem where Outlook cannot send or receive emails.

I saw that you posted in the Outlook for Mac section, so is your problem happening in Outlook for Mac?

If so, I suggest you use the following method:

1, I suggest you first go to webmail outlook.live.com through a browser, to check if the emails are there. The purpose of doing this is to eliminate as many interruptions as possible, so that you can easily troubleshoot whether the problem is with the account or with the outlook app itself.

2, If you can send and receive emails normally on webmail, the problem is in the Outlook app itself. Please try to update it. You can check if there is any update by opening the AppStore.

    1. Re-add your account to the Outlook App. This step will eliminate many synchronization and authentication issues.

Hope these steps can help, if your problem still exists, please share more details, and I will continue to support you!

    Best regards,

    Harris-MSFT |Microsoft Community support specialist
