How do I fix Outlook is suddenly not sending or receiving emails?

I had the same problem. So i started using my Gmail account on my computer, which I don't like the format nearly as well as Outlook, I am now getting and sending emails on my computer.

I wonder if Spectrum is aware of this and will fix it on their own. I don't know how to change this to Spectrum Webmail, and when i go back to Indiana where Xfinity is my provider, I don't want to mess that up!

With the help for an hour and half on Microsoft Chat, it is fixed. The problem was I installed Microsoft 365 and allowed all the defaults. As a result, I ended up with a new beta version of Outlook. The Microsoft support person moved me to the old version of Outlook and was able to get Outlook working again. My Outlook is set up with IMAP and uses Spectrum with an e,mail of name.statecode.rr.com. In the days I spent getting this resolved I noticed others with this configuration but saw no resolutions. I hope this brief problem resolution will get to others and help them solve their problem.

By the way, if anyone has Windows 11 and uses an old version of PhotoShop, DO NOT attempt to load the old PhotoShop on Windows 11. If you do, the only resolution I found was to have the Geek Squad resolve the problem for me by deleting and reloading Windows 11. Not fun!

Still not able to send or receive emails

Just yesterday morning my Outlook on my Mac Mini desktop and Macbook Air laptop have stopped sending and receiving emails from my gmail work account. What is the issue here and how can I fix it?? The "fix" provided is not working. Help?

No, the problem is not on a Mac. It was working fine yesterday. Another family member is getting emails, just not me.
