How do I fix Outlook is suddenly not sending or receiving emails?

My Outlook account is not downloading or sending messages. I am able to login and I have used the sync button. Anyone else had this happen and know how to resolve it? I've used the Microsoft help and it was not helpful at all!

you need to reinstall your outlook, me new computer did the same thing, I purchased office 2024, and it work . older version doesn't. make sure you use old style outlook not new style.

I HAD 2014. Not pass 10 years go figure., you don't need 365 subscription unless you want it., just go by office home and business version $249. it contains word,excel,powerpoint,onenote,outlook

I lucked out by uninstalling outlook and Boom - it reset... I did move all possible .ost mail files (older stuff that was in my) inbox to a pst that I had open. I thought I may have to reinstall but no. It was still there and when I opened it was downloading emails - I use MS Office 365.
