How can I stop all the unauthorized login attempts from around the world?

I've had a huge increase of people trying to sign in to my email account the past few days. As in multiple attempts every hour, every day, from all of the world. I've had to change my password daily and I'm worried about my email getting hacked. Is there any extra security or anything else I can do other than the two factor authentication that can protect my email from being hacked. It's insane the amount of login attempts that are happening lately. Multiple attempts at the same time in different ends of the world. I've never had this happen before. Will it decrease eventually?

    Authenticator has nothing to do with them trying. It just means that even if they crack your password you would get a warning which you would not click on of course because it isn't you (and which would lead you to secure your account and change the password)

    You must MUST continue to use Authenticator or some other 2nd level check whatever you do.

    Go to your settings and set up an alias account with a different personal name for example ******@outlook.com or whatever hasn't been taken by someone else, then change your mail login to that alias and in the corner of that settings pane is a link which allows you to choose which of your addresses is allowed to sign in. Disable all but your new alias. Then when they try to log in with your old address they will not be able to and you won't see any more attempts.

    Can I just completely remove the Microsoft account.

    What happens if I do.

    It seems it's another source of risk. Plus a hassle to learn and trust all the added points.

    If you remove the Microsoft account, you permanently delete the email address and mailbox, never to return, gone, history.
