I've had a huge increase of people trying to sign in to my email account the past few days. As in multiple attempts every hour, every day, from all of the world. I've had to change my password daily and I'm worried about my email getting hacked. Is there any extra security or anything else I can do other than the two factor authentication that can protect my email from being hacked. It's insane the amount of login attempts that are happening lately. Multiple attempts at the same time in different ends of the world. I've never had this happen before. Will it decrease eventually?

I have the same issue... people trying my password over and over and over... mostly from brazil but other places too... rarely are they from my country...
I don't understand why MS wouldn't give people the option to block sign-ins from other countries and whitelist countries you may be travelling to.
1 in 100 attempts... if not 1 in 1000 ( I only went back a few days) are from the country I am in, it would be waaaay more secure if I could block all attempts from outside my country and perhaps have a Travel option so if I am travelling I can add the places I'll be going.
I change my password fairly often and have MFA set up so I guess that is good, but it's easy to accidentally hit the login when checking on a smart phone, I really wish MS would let me block countries from even attempting to log into my account.

but it was even this morning the last one! please! stop them!
Hello Harris, quite interesting outcome. As soon as I listed the alias as my new login preference, I started getting attempts on the alias. Crazy. I have seen a way to block all login attempts from outside the designated country. I tried the procedure, but when I got to step 3, it wasn't available. Here it is.
To answer your question, yes, you can block sign-in attempts from outside your country of residence. This can be done by enabling the "Country/Region" block feature in your Microsoft account security settings.
To do this, please follow these steps:
Like I said at step 3 there was not "Advance security option" nor "Manage advanced security". Any suggestions?
