I understand that you received an unsolicited CAPTCHA. The following diagram illustrates the possibility of an unsolicited code.

If you just received an unsolicited code out of the blue, the odds are that someone incorrectly entered an address (whose address may be similar to yours) when requesting the code.

Please ignore the email for now and observe if you continue to receive such emails please let me know again.

    I was Sunday and Monday I thought I was contacting the California DMV to renew my drivers license. It was not until I completed the form that I realize I was not dealing with the DMV. I provided my Social Security number, driver license number and other information. I tried to contact Experian for help, but only ended up with a credit rating. Today I received an email from Microsoft telling me a single-use code that I had not requested which is different from the one you just provided.

    What do I do. How can the single-use code be used to my detriment? Is the the misrepresented DMV groip or Experian?

    I received a second e-mail with a "single-use" code that I didn't request.

    The first one was at 8:14am this morning. I noticed it when I opened my mail at about 9:40am. I didn't know what this may have meant or what to do, I changed me password. After I read through the Microsoft information about these unrequested e-mails with a "single-use" code and felt relieved. I didn't share the code with anyone.

    Then, it happened again, just 15min. after I changed my password. There's was a new e-mail (10:01am) with a 'single-use' code I didn't request.

    It seems like too much of coincidence that someone would have entered my e-mail in by mistake just after I changed my password .... a second time.

    What do I do if I continue to receive these "single-use" codes I didn't request ... especially if they come just after I change my password?

    I am getting numerous emails everyday with a code I did not request. Back in May of last year I called for technical help and the guys from India hacked my computer and all my accounts. I had to go to great lengths to get them out of my computer. I do not think it is someone typing the wrong address because it is multiple emails every day and night. Someone is trying to hack me. I am worried they keep trying and I can't call you or get help over the phone. Please help me stop this. My husband died a few days ago and I am afraid to be targeted and taken advantage of.

    I have 2 accounts. One is personal and 1 is for school. I am in a master's program for Maharishi Ayurveda and Integrative Medicine.
