I understand that you received an unsolicited CAPTCHA. The following diagram illustrates the possibility of an unsolicited code.

If you just received an unsolicited code out of the blue, the odds are that someone incorrectly entered an address (whose address may be similar to yours) when requesting the code.

Please ignore the email for now and observe if you continue to receive such emails please let me know again.

    I have received 10 unsolicited CAPTCHA "single use codes" requests in the past week, Clearly someone is trying to access my microsoft account. Cant microsoft flag any IP that attempts to do that to keep my account from being hacked , or refuse to allow any one use code requests execept from my IP, I have no idea if someone has access to my email account to gain access to the one time codes

    Hi someone seems to be bruteforcing "single-use code" on my account via multiple ip addresses. How do I disable "single-use code" login attempts on my Microsoft Account?

    "single-use code" looks like a 6 digit number and feels very insecure compared to a password. There's a 1 in a million chance that one of the attacks can pass through.
