I changed my microsoft password, now on my android phone i cant sign in to my email account.
I enter the new password, then enter the generated number on the authenticator, but then i receive the above message
I am able to access my emails on my laptop, but not my phone

I ahve reinstalled a few times. Sometimes when I see the password prompt I cancel and it just works by itself later.
Does seem to need some kind of attention.
I do confirm. Did that and it works.
I've had this issue. The fix is to deactivate and uninstall the app. Then reinstall it and add your credentials
I proactively updated my corporate password because it was expiring in a few days.
Ran into the same issue with Samsung Email. Would hang up during authentication and not authenticate.
I have a Samsung Z Fold and Samsung Email, I was told by my corporate TAC to uninstall and reinstall Samsung Email.
Once I did that it was able to authenticate properly with Authenticator and email/Calendar/Contacts were updated properly.
I was having the same issue with my Galaxy S21. It wouldn't stay logged onto my Outlook email account for more than a few hours. The advice given above didn't make a difference. I think I found the answer! When you create the account in your Samsung email app you have to create it as an Exchange account. Before I was creating it as a simple Outlook or Microsoft 365 account. Now it's been logged in for 24 hours and synch with email, calendar and contacts is immediate and seamless. I'm happy it's working the way it should, but am unimpressed with Microsoft's lame assistance. We are left to figure out their complex and balky software by ourselves.
