Unable to complete authorisation as their is no interactive call in progress

I changed my microsoft password, now on my android phone i cant sign in to my email account.

I enter the new password, then enter the generated number on the authenticator, but then i receive the above message

I am able to access my emails on my laptop, but not my phone

i am struggling with the exact same problem and dont know what to do. we have almost 1000 samsung devices with samsung Mail App configured. about two week ago the problems started and we did not figured yet what it is.

the app suddendly says "Unable to complete authorisation as their is no interactive call in progress". enter the password, login, app just closes and thats it

we can not migrate to outlook app, that would be to much effort. it worked for years now and all of the sudden it doesn't. i see sign-in Logs in Micorosft Entra, i resetted the app but three days later the problem reoccurs again.

what the heck is going on??? who is to blame for this? Microsoft? Samsung? Google??? why is this simple app not working anymore? it is desastrous...

Correct which is why you enter an msol username and password unlike exchange on premise

Hotmail/outlook is also exchange online but I would not choose exchange for that either

I thought I fixed the problem a few days ago with Samsung Email and uninstall/ reinstall and using Office 365 as the 'type'. But last night it just stopped working with bad authentication (2ont open MS Authenticator), and I had to uninstall and reinstall Samsung Email again.

Hope they fix this issue.

Office 365 email is Exchange (online).
