We have the same problem with some phones. Others that are identical work, but strangely enough.

With one, we found out that if we close the mail app, deactivate WiFi and then open the app again, the message goes away and emails are received. After that, you can turn WiFi back on until it happens again the next day.

    Can anyone reproduce this?

    Hi,

The same scenario here, we are using Samsung email app version 6.1.95.14 for corporate Android devices (Galaxy A35; A55, Galaxy TAB S6-Lite, Galaxy TAB Active4 PRO etc)

If the account (EXO mailbox) is added from scratch, it works until next day. When app is asking for authentication the error message appears. What is strange is the fact that in Intune Sign-in logs, the authentications status is "succes".

I made a test with one mobile that is unmanaged by Intune, downgrade the app version to 6.1.94.2, I waited for the next day and reauthenticated with succes.

Switching to Outlook app for entire organization is not a solution for us now, so we really count for good advice here.

    Thank you!

I have Samsung S24 with 2 Exchange Accounts connected. One is On-Prem Exchange (without MFA) and one is Exchange Online (with MFA).

The problem startet after updating Samsung Email from App-Store. For the Exchange Online Account, we must authenticate every 5 days. Since the update and after submitting MFA, the error appears for Exchange Online account. The on-prem account still works like a charm.

When I delete the account and add it from scratch, it works the first time and MFA is accepted. But, as soon I have to reauthenticate and it asks me for the new MFA, the error appears again and the connection fails.

    Just my 2 cents.

    Thank you for your reply.

I have uninstalled the mailbox from the Samsung eamil app, then reinstalled our MS365 business mailbox and the two-way authenticator worked again without problem.
