How do I "add an account on mobile to use this app" in the Outlook app on my Google pixel 2 watch?

I'm getting the error message in the Outlook App on my Google Pixel 2 watch to "add an account on mobile to use this app." My outlook app on my phone (google pixel 8) is working just fine. The app on my phone and my watch have been updated in the Google Play Store, syncing is on from settings in the Outlook app on my phone, but no data is flowing through to the Outlook app on my watch (no email or calendar items). Please help!

I was finally able to get past the "add account on mobile" screen on the watch by removing accounts, clearing phone and watch cache, rebooting both then reading account. But not all of my email is syncing across, only seeing a few emails. If I mark one as unread on the phone then it will appear on the watch. Gonna have to monitor to see if any new emails show on the watch.

Doing the steps that was said above worked for me. I have to remove my account, and tell it to remove account from my watch as well. Force close the app on my watch, then add the account back on my phone. Then it showed my emails on my watch. Thank you for the link!

It worked perfectly for me. Maybe try uninstalling from your watch and then add and remove accounts and then reinstall on your watch. 🤷‍♂️

That did not work for me. Removed accounts and readded and when I did I got a popup talking about viewing mail on my watch and it said tap to open watch and setup. Tapped it and outlook on my watch opened but to the same message about adding an account on mobile.

I have a Pixel Watch 2 but was able to find a solution on a Samsung thread (link below)

Go into outlook settings and remove all accounts then add them back. Should work fine 🤞
