My account has been hacked and subsequently locked - can I speak to someone to have it unlocked?

Dear Microsoft Community,

I was on holiday earlier this month and made the mistake to logging into an unsecure WiFi. The result of this is that my email account was hacked and used to violate Skype's T&C's.

As a result of the above my email account has been locked.

I have tried on numerous occasions to have my account unlocked, however my appeal has been unsuccessful every time...I've attached a copy of the latest response from Microsoft. Other messages from Microsoft have stated that they can not verify my identity....I have offered to send a copy of my passport in order to verify who I am.

I have also written a letter to Ms. Clare Barclay, CEO, Microsoft UK in an effort to get help, however to no avail.

I have used my email account satisfactorily for c20 years, however this seems to account for little.

Can you please help me?

Thank you

Mark king

    They are impossible to contact.

I go on thr chat line daily and ask to speak to a manager over and over again

    Still not resolved.

But apparently now it's being looked at by an escalation team

I also sent emails to execs emails I found online. The email for bill gates didn't bounce either haha

BTW, does anybody know, if it's possible to transfer your data from the blocked account to a new one?

    Any news back on this?

Feels like there a lot of people experiencing this for them to not deem it a glitch and clearly something very wrong.

If anyone has had any Luck please do let me know.

    Thanks!

    Hi,

I have hit this same problem yesterday and am worried that it doesn't look like it's been resolved for anyone. I've had my hotmail account for almost 30 years and don't want to lose access to all of those emails.

Has anyone managed to get anywhere with this?

What is the best way to escalate this? I can't find a number to contact Microsoft on (I'm in the UK).

    Thanks,

    Helen
