I want to try the new Outlook, however it is not showing the old emails.
Any help?

I have the same issue! There is NO WHERE in the settings to display older items. I can only see back to last month! Is there any response from Microsoft? I've just gone back to the old outlook as a result
Hi. I've encountered the same problem, I had emails in my hotmail account that dated back to as far as 2008, I was storing them because they contained emails and pictures sent to me by a friend who has now passed. I have tried everything to look for these emails but it seems that Outlook thought they were trash and automatically eliminated them for me which is quite sad. When searching for these emails I ca only find the ones I sent to my friend in the "sent" folder, which is why I know that these emails did exist and I know I have and NEVER would have erased these precious emails myelf. What do you have to say for yourself microsoft?
Hi, I have the same problem, this "New" Outlook is not usable if I can't access old emails. I don't know if it is because it can't read pst files or something like that. Essentially, this was a complete waste of time for everybody if that one simple requirement can't be addressed...
Hi I have the same problem, I am using Office 2016 and saw the option to try new outlook and everything would be good but I cannot search for email that are older that ~6 months
Check that the mailbox has not run out of storage space. Old emails may not load if no space available.
On classic version everything works just fine
Verify that date range/filters are not restricting the view. Check all folders and use "All Mail" or "Everything" view.
That seems not to be the case if i sort by date from oldest, firt mail that shows is from 24th April
Old emails may be in the Archive folder rather than Inbox. Look in the folder list on the left for Archive.
The archive folder is emty
Try searching for keywords from old emails to see if they will appear in search results.
I tried it and it kind of worked, I've opened up old outlook searched for old email (from september last year) and copied its topic to new outlook, after a while it showed up in new outlook. But when I try to "manually" go to this email the last is still from 24th April
Same here. FFS fix this behavior or I have to switch to another product! I was using Mail for years without problems and now you force switching to this useless peace of ****. Who in the world thinks that hiding old mails is a good idea?!?
