I don't like it, I don't want it, I am not going to switch to it, and I never want to see it again. For the longest time it would periodically switch to the new outlook, I would turn it off, and submit feedback stating the previous. Now it auto opens every single time. I do not ever want to see the new outlook again for the rest of my life. Do not make me switch to Mac or Linux or whatever because I am petty and will eventually become so disgruntled and delete everything Microsoft and never spend another dime on anything they make over something stupid. I want to know a way to permanently delete the new outlook off my system so it doesn't get to that point.

Are you a home user? If so, set the registry keys to disable 'try new outlook' in classic outlook. This will prevent Microsoft from switching.

I tried your method and it didn't work. HOWEVER, I discovered you forgot one simple step. After uninstalling Outlook(new) using your method the Outlook(classic) will still not run. Outlook(new) was, indeed, gone but I spent quite a bit of time trying to get Outlook(classic) to run with no luck. Then I thought a reboot might help. Yes! My good old Outlook(classic) was back. So, please add "REBOOT" after the uninstall in your method. Now it works great!!
One side-note: when this happened to me right after Outlook(new) was launched (a few years ago I think), I actually called Microsoft. After a long and winding road I was finally connected to a person who knew what I was talking about. She told me to do the uninstall from within the app. When I explained the "uninstall" command wasn't where she said it should be, she gave up and told me to just use Outlook(new). Typical Microsoft bureaucracy.
Is is hiding under "Mail and Calendar". I don't see a new outlook65 there. But the new mail icon was installed 2/7/2025, and not by me
So, uninstall appears to work at first, but New Outlook just comes back, at least it does for me. So, I think the next best option is to hobble it. Go into Apps->Default Apps, scroll down to both of the Outlooks. Go into each of these and set everything in both to Outlook, not Outlook(New). At least this way, when you click on a link that has anything to do with mail or calendar, or a program tries to open a mail-related link, it will use Outlook Classic.
There is one option, MS-OUTLOOK, that will only allow you to select Outlook (New) or another Store App. I believe I have found the registry entry to change this, but I haven't encountered anything that calls for it yet so I don't know if I broke anything.
