How do you permanently turn off new outlook?

I don't like it, I don't want it, I am not going to switch to it, and I never want to see it again. For the longest time it would periodically switch to the new outlook, I would turn it off, and submit feedback stating the previous. Now it auto opens every single time. I do not ever want to see the new outlook again for the rest of my life. Do not make me switch to Mac or Linux or whatever because I am petty and will eventually become so disgruntled and delete everything Microsoft and never spend another dime on anything they make over something stupid. I want to know a way to permanently delete the new outlook off my system so it doesn't get to that point.

    I tried this and Outlook (new) is not on the list installed apps. However, when I initiate an email to a person n a website, Outlook (new) opens. I want outlook (new) gone from my computer. how do I do that?

    In my installed apps, I see only one instance of outlook and the icon appears to be for the "New" Outlook see attached. I also have installed what appears to be a version of Microsoft 365 where I am probably getting to be able to us classis.

    Are you suggesting that I remove the program associated with the "New" Outlook icon?

    1. Settings
    2. Apps
    3. check whether the preferred version (old) is in your default apps
    4. check whether new version of outlook is in your installed apps. If so, delete it. You can see the slight difference in the iconography.

    Best way to "turn it off" is to use the the "Outlook (Classic)" application. The "Outlook" application will default to Outlook New but luckily the "Outlook (Classic)" application still defaults to Outlook Classic. I also completely agree that new outlook is terrible so I'm glad I found a way to never look at it again.
