How do you permanently turn off new outlook?

I don't like it, I don't want it, I am not going to switch to it, and I never want to see it again. For the longest time it would periodically switch to the new outlook, I would turn it off, and submit feedback stating the previous. Now it auto opens every single time. I do not ever want to see the new outlook again for the rest of my life. Do not make me switch to Mac or Linux or whatever because I am petty and will eventually become so disgruntled and delete everything Microsoft and never spend another dime on anything they make over something stupid. I want to know a way to permanently delete the new outlook off my system so it doesn't get to that point.

There is no issue running classic and new outlook at the same time, or even Thunderbird. eM client, or another email client at the same time.

I usually have both outlooks running and occasionally eM at the same time - all with most of the same email accounts in them. On rarer occasions also had Thunderbird open. The only issue would be if you had POP accounts (a lock is put on the mailbox while the client is downloading) but new outlook does not support POP.

I made the move to Mozilla Thunderbird (email).
It's not fully operational like MS LIVE email was but definitely better than the "NEW krappy OUTLOOK".

I still see no issue having both NEW or OLD versions running for those who wish to use either. All MS is doing is HIGHLY IRRITATING their customers.

'mvance120': Without a followup, means nothing.

Is your New Outlook still removed or has Microsoft automatically reinstalled it?

    .

Out of giggles I RE-performed that "New Outlook" removal exercise you posted and NO, it does not stop this New Outlook from installing & loading.

Had a feeling it wouldn't for seemingly I've tried everything posted on the Net, it all failed.

The ONLY think left is a Class Action Lawsuit, Microsoft is forcing an install we do not want. Our computers are Private Property, thus this is an invasion of our privacy.

We never accepted this New Outlook, we do not want this for a few various reasons.

Did quite a bit of research and found this fix posted this year (2025). Seems to be working so far for me - How to Stop Automatically Switching to New Outlook - Edi Wang
