"Report Phishing" no longer go to Deleted Folder

In the past few days, I've noticed if I tick emails in the Junk folder to "Report Phishing", they no longer go to the deleted folder. They disappear momentarily and I get the "nothing in junk icon, etc. but, if I go to the inbox and back to the Junk folder, those emails are still there in the Junk folder.

    Unfortunately that only blocks the email address as seen in the email which can be altered by the sender and is often a random set of characters "at" a random set of characters domain and doesn't exist.
    It shouldn't be difficult for email providers to block any emails that have these type of sender email addresses as they are obviously up to no good.

    But I doubt they will.

    I am having the same issue.

    None of the suggestions work. It is clearly an Outlook issue. Hopefully their tech team will research and fix asap!!

    I noticed a change when reporting phishing on their end. There is an alert that shows and when I noticed that the same issue happened for me. Exactly the same as the original poster explained. Does not work. I just block it now. I am not sure it ever really did any good because I never saw a decline in my junk folder but at least the function worked. Now nothing. There is no way this is a user problem with so many people experiencing the exact same issue. Microsoft clearly made a change and it simply is not working now.

    What they need to do is block the IP address of the sender.

    On the 11th May, I got this message pop up while reporting an email. Not seen this since while reporting.
