In the past few days, I've noticed if I tick emails in the Junk folder to "Report Phishing", they no longer go to the deleted folder. They disappear momentarily and I get the "nothing in junk icon, etc. but, if I go to the inbox and back to the Junk folder, those emails are still there in the Junk folder.

I just came across this blog post today (I wonder if it, in any way, may be related):

Same as the others, I just reported a message, switched to the inbox, back to my junk and oh, there it is. Repeat 6 more times, it's still in there. It's like Microsoft is telling us "No, it's not phishing, we promise. You should click the link to that 'casino' and pay that person 700 BitDogPotatoScam Coins, as we think it's not phishing."

As of this morning, I did the usual report an email as phishing and to my surprise it actually moved it to the deleted folder 🎉

It looks like they finally fixed it.

Not here ... I tried the "Report Phishing" just to see ...the disappeared and came back as soon as I changed folders. I do, however see a new statement with an i in a circle ... "If there is no option to unsubscribe, Outlook will block these senders."

Still not working for me in Windows 10 & 11, tried via web access and old/new outlook program it looks as though deleted, disappears from folder but number stays at same number, then reappears if I click out and back, but my Samsung phone is wild, it deleted it from the junk folder and put it in the deleted folder, however in Windows it is still in the Junk Folder. I restarted both and it still in deleted on phone and junk in Windows. If I empty my phones deleted folder it goes from both phone and windows

    I'm totally bemused by it.
