Stop automatically installing the new Outlook

I'm not using "the new Outlook", I'm staying with the "classic Outlook". Since I don't use it, I have to delete the app. To my surprise, it re-installs itself after a period of time. It's super annoying since I have to keep deleting it How do I stop this from happening?

    Go and find some other email client you want to use.

    Continue using the soon to be discontinued Windows Mail is dangerous. It will "work" until it goes spectacularly wrong, then you will come back crying about how important your email is.

    What's unfair is that we then have to listen to these people begging for help. We have better things to do, there are people with actual problems we want to help.

    Maybe Microsoft should stop discontinuing products that actually work and stop forcing us to use new ones that don't? Ever thought of that? No you didn't <removed -COC Violation>

    i want to use the old mail app. it opens for a second, and then opens the new outlook. would prefer the mail app. operating system: Windows 10. i always look in my start menu to check if windows installed the new ok.

    Lordslipgate's posted a great fix. Here it is. First uninstall Outlook THIS WORKS!!!!! It worked great!!! Go to (Github) sign up, look for the item )repo:matej137/OutlookRemover the button says code) download it, extract it then run the bat code as a administrator. The change to outlook prompt still shows up when you open Mail. Clicking on dismiss or allow but nothing will happen. (Thank the Lord).

    Outlook's font is too small and you're looking at all the accounts. I have 4 hotmail accounts and Mail is so much better for my eyes to work and see one account at a time.

    Really you can download the .zip and save it. When the .NetFramework upgraded the other day I just extracted the OutlookRemover-main.zip file again and ran the .bat file again as a administrator and I have the old Mail again. So hold onto the file.

    Thanks, Wino Mail looks like an excellent alternative to Windows Mail app, I will have a look at it!
